Camino Day 37: Portomarin to Palas de Rei

Some days, it is best to be still and quiet, to let the mind and body rest. Alas, I do not have the patience today to be still. I am ready to be in Santiago. I am ready for the walk to be over. So we walked.

We saw a lovely jeweled lacerta lizard, and met a friendly cat on a stone wall, and walked through rain that dripped musically through the trees. I will hold onto those moments as shining, quiet moments in an otherwise difficult day.

We took another private room to wait out my cold and will try again tomorrow.
