Hitting the Road

We are packed and on the road. Today, we only go as far as Gig Harbor. We'll drop off the cat, stow the car, and stay the night. Tomorrow we'll go to the airport. In the meantime, Rod and I's backpacks are officially  packed, weighing in at 21 and 16 pounds respectively. It feels like we've taken the first steps, and our journey has begun. The cat is somewhat less thrilled.
