Camino Day 5: Pamplona to Puenta la Reina

Today was the first day of the Camino that felt easy. Sure, there was a tough uphill climb, and my feet ACHED at the end of the day, but it was pleasant and even fun. We even got a late start at 10:30, so we had a simple goal: make it over Alto de Perdon, the next big climb, about 7 miles outside Pamplona. At the peak, we still had lots of energy...and at the next town, and the town after that. Maybe it was the beautiful yellow fields on the ascent, or the red desert clay carpeted with wild herbs on the way down, (or maybe it was yesterday's day of rest!) but every step was a beautiful adventure.
