Camino Day 43: Nagiera to Santa Mariña

The coastal range is both brutal and stunningly beautiful. We climb up and down the same 300 meters over and over again, but it is through beautiful forest groves, stands of spicy eucalyptus, and wildflower lanes. Each steep climb gives way to a new vista and a new environment.

Today's walk was less steep than yesterday's, but still an uphill climb for the first two thirds of the day. The last third tipped downward into farm valley, and a serries of rolling hills and rocky roads. We arrived at our alburgue surprisingly exhausted.

Our inn keepers are somewhat gruff and grumpy, and we look forward to a shorter, easier walk tomorrow.
